Newton nondegenerate Weil divisors in toric affine spaces and the geometric genus

Resumen:

We define a class of singularities by imposing a Newton nondegenerate  condition on Weil divisors in a toric affine space. We present a formula for the geometric genus of such a singularity in terms of the Newton polyhedron.
